The 2010
Honda Accord Crosstour will be a cross-over vehicle based off the
very popular Honda Accord sedan and coupe. The Honda Crosstour will
go on sale in the fall of 2009 as a 2010 model. Details are scarce
on this new model but one thing shown in the spy photos are two
tail pipes indicating Honda will probably use the 271 horsepower
3.5-liter V-6 currently found in the Honda Accord. The Crosstour
will give Honda a whole new segmant of buyers that would not traditionally
be interested in the Accord sedan or coupe. Reports are the Crosstour
is 2.5-inches taller than the Accord and will be available in either
front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Pricing is expected to start around
$30,000 for the base model.
Honda's Press Release announcing the
vehicle:
"An all-new crossover vehicle based on the award-winning Honda
Accord will go on-sale in the fall of 2009 as the "Accord Crosstour,"
American Honda Motor Co., Inc., announced today. This new addition
to the Honda lineup will be sold as a 2010 model. Additional information
will be announced later in the year."
The press release is short and sweet
and that is all we know at this point but expect more news to leak
out over the coming months.
